Hello, I’m Kerry Jackson, the founder and principal designer of Jacksons Landscape Designs, based in Newton Abbot, Devon.
Over the years, I’ve built this company into one of the South West’s leading garden design and landscaping specialists. Our reputation is based on crafting bespoke, high-quality outdoor spaces – from contemporary and traditional gardens to driveways, patios, composite decking, and unique rammed earth garden structures. Every project is approached with passion, creativity, and attention to detail, no matter the size or complexity.
Where It All Began
My love for design started young – I’ve always had a natural ability to visualise spaces and bring them to life on paper (though my late mum wasn’t too thrilled when I used the wallpaper for practice!). That creative spark, paired with a fascination for the outdoors, eventually led me into the world of landscaping.
At 15, I started working at a local garden centre, gaining hands-on experience with plants. I then spent 19 years honing my skills in hard landscaping – learning the craft of building strong, lasting structures and mastering the practical side of design and construction.
In 2000, I combined my artistic ability with this practical know-how to create Jacksons Landscape Designs. By 2005, I was presenting all of our garden plans in 3D CAD – allowing clients to fully visualise their new spaces before we start building.

I believe a great landscaper should treat your property as if it were their own – with respect, care, and precision. That’s the standard I hold myself and my team to. I like to push boundaries and think beyond the basics to create outdoor spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
